Mark Zuckerberg’s recent presentation on Facebook Home left room for other platforms, noting that it will work on Android. However, what is with other popular platforms?
If you believe the information available to Bloomberg, Apple and Facebook for some time negotiating the adoption of Facebook Home on the iPhone. Android, in addition to openness, also known by market saturation, and Zuckerberg has skillfully used the opportunity that is offered – even though it is not clear how successful the Facebook Home project will ever be. It is simply too early to draw any conclusions, but in the full picture, Facebook will definitely have to work with others to facilitate monetization.
Adam Mosseri, Facebook’s head of products and one of the key figures when it comes to Facebook Home project, said he “showed others (author’s note to Apple and Microsoft) as they are made, and are currently under discussion.” More info than that is not known, as Apple and Microsoft declined to comment on anything. At this moment, iOS and WP provide some level of integration with the popular social networks, and what will happen in the future is hard to predict. What is quite likely is that the chat Heads will recently appear on other platforms besides Android. The only question is in what form.
